This Juvenile Swainsons hawk was brought here by a young
man, emaciated, it was starving and only needed a safe place
to build himself back up again, he was successfully released
this fall, he is pictured above and below.

Fondly referred to as "Talon", this beautiful bird
had wonderful people who cared about what
happened to her, lengths were driven to get her
here, with a wing and leg injury it was decided
after xrays to give her time, she was a very sweet
hawk , she did not complete her healing before
migration and so Dr. Mel Blager at MooseJaw has
kindly agreed to overwinter her with another.
Hawk Moon?  Perhaps Talon has a
sense of humor
